POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS FOLLOWING BANK ROBBERY IN MARKHAM

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying two suspects following a bank robbery in the City of Markham.  

On Monday, February 5, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m., two male suspects entered a bank located in the area of Hwy. 404 and Steeles Avenue East.  One suspect jumped the counter and took a quantity of cash from the teller area.  Both suspects were seen holding silver firearms.  The suspects exited the bank and left the area in a blue Honda Civic.  No one was physically injured during the incident.

Suspect #1:

  • Male, white
  • 5’ 4”
  • Wearing gloves, bandanna covering his face
  • Was in possession of a silver handgun

Suspect #2:

  • Male, white
  • 5’ 4”
  • Wearing gloves, bandanna covering his face
  • Was in possession of a silver handgun

The investigation is ongoing.
