Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses and assistance in identifying several vehicles of interest after shots were fired at a restaurant in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police were called to La Shish Bar and Grill located at 4040 Steeles Avenue West, for a report of gunshots being fired at the building. When police arrived they found the glass shattered in the front of the building.

Shortly after, members of the Toronto Police Service advised that a male victim with a minor gun shot wound had attended a hospital in the City of Toronto

Investigators learned that a suspect drove up to the restaurant in a grey Chevrolet Impala.  The suspect fired shots at the direction of the restaurant then fled the area. Investigators are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle and the occupants, as well as other vehicles of interest in the area at the time of the incident.

Suspect Vehicle:

  • Grey Chevrolet Impala
  • Four door

Investigators are asking any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who have not yet spoken to police, or anyone that may have been driving in the area at the time with a dashcam, to please come forward.
