Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect following an armed robbery in the City of Markham.  

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police were called to a pharmacy located in the area of Steeles Avenue East and Kennedy Road.  A male suspect, brandishing a knife, entered the store and demanded narcotics.  He approached the safe, removed an unknown quantity of narcotics and fled westbound on foot.  No one was physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • 6’, medium build
  • Wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black gloves and dark jeans

The investigation is ongoing.
