Pierre Savoy has been involved in motorsports and the automotive industry as a professional driver since 1983 in Canada, the United States and Europe. He teaches race driving, as well as skid control programs. He also coaches race drivers wishing to further their careers. Among his most well-known students are 1997 World Formula 1 Champion Jacques Villeneuve and current Champcar driver Patrick Carpentier. As a member of the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), Pierre enjoys excellent relations with the nation's top automotive writers. The combination of motorsport and journalism has allowed him to meet and work closely with a number of the major players in the automotive industry, instructing or planning and implementing interesting activities for the news media. Drawing from his extensive experience as a driver trainer, Pierre was selected as Canada's Chief Instructor for the BMW Group Canada Advanced Driver Training in 2001. |
