VIDEO - POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN UNSOLVED CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY IN VAUGHAN

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect wanted for robbing a convenience store in the City of Vaughan more than a year ago.

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, at approximately 2 a.m., a suspect entered a convenience store located in the area of Martin Grove Road and Highway 7. The suspect approached and employee and demanded cash. The suspect obtained a small amount of cash then fled on foot.

Investigators are releasing video surveillance from this incident and are asking anyone with information that can assist with identifying the suspect to contact police. The video is available for viewing at the following link: https://youtu.be/a4mlwU_e5fk

 

Suspect  #1:

  • Male, tanned complexion
  • 20 to 25 years
  • Slim build
  • 5’ to 5’5”
  • Scar above right eye brow and right cheek
  

 

While the investigation is ongoing, investigators have exhausted all leads and are appealing to the public for assistance.
