POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS FOLLOWING HOME INVASION IN VAUGHAN

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a home invasion in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at approximately 12:20 a.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Highway 7 and Pine Valley Drive for a report of a home invasion robbery. Investigators learned that two male suspects armed with handguns entered the residence through a patio sliding door in the kitchen. The suspects threatened the homeowner and demanded cash. They obtained a quantity of currency and fled from the residence.

The victims, a husband and wife and their two adult children, were not physically injured.

The suspects were both described as male Black 18 to 20 years of age, thin builds, wearing masks and gloves and armed with black handguns.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses or anyone who has video surveillance of the area at the time are encouraged to call police.
