Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at approximately 7:20 a.m., York Regional Police responded to reports of a collision in the area of Keele Street and Barhill Road. Officers learned that a white Dodge Journey had collided with a grey Mazda. After the impact, the Mazda went off the roadway and struck a cyclist.

The driver of the Mazda, an 80-year-old woman from Vaughan, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.   

The cyclist and the driver of the Dodge had minor injuries.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
