HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION FOLLOWING A SHOOTING IN VAUGHAN

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are seeking witnesses following a shooting in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, August 10, 2019, shortly after 2 a.m., York Regional Police began investigating after a male victim attended a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.  

Officers gained information through the investigation and believe that the shooting occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m., after an altercation outside of a residence in the area of Cranston Park Avenue and Ridgeway Court in Vaughan. Two or more male suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The victim sadly died from his injuries in hospital. The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.

Any witnesses that may have seen or heard anything, or obtained cell phone video or images from the incident are asked to contact police. Investigators are also appealing to any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance, or any drivers who may have dashcam footage to please come forward.
