Staff Sergeant Greg Williams, Detective Doug James, Sergeant Tom Saito, Constable Doug Penner, Constable Ryan Dare and Constable Sean Briard received the Canadian Safe Boating Council (CABSA) Award. 

Inspector Larry Wilson recieved the 2016 Ontario Homicide Investigators Association (OHIA) Award of Merit in recognition of his dedication, service and long lasting contribution to the profession of homicide investigations in the Province of Ontario and to OHIA homicide training and education.

Inspector Randy Slade, Staff Sergeant Dave Mitchell, Sergeant Karen Hodge, Constable Andy Pattenden, Kathleen Griffin, Stephanie Mackenzie-Smith, Mike Bastin, Billy Courtice, Susan Gibbs, and Bradley Featherstone, received the Road Safety Initiative of the year award for the #ImTHATPerson initiative by the Ministry of Transportation.

Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run - Top Zone Fundraiser
York Regional Police received the award for Highest Grossing Agency Zone 3 for our ongoing fundraising efforts with the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Volunteer of the Year Award - Community Living Newmarket and Aurora District
Dana Bourdages received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Community Living Aurora and Newmarket District. 
St. John Ambulance Life-saving Award
Awarded to Constable Matthew Houlieff, Constable Kynan Walper, Constable Jasroop Bains and Constable Hannah Elkington. 
The Ontario Association of Chief's of Police (OACP) and Ontario Media Relations Officers Network (OMRON) Crime Prevention Award
The Following York Regional police members received the Ontario Association of Chief's of Police (OACP) and Ontario Media Relations Officers Network (OMRON) Crime Prevention Media Award in recognition of the #ReservationsNotRequired Campaign: Staff Sergeant Dave Mitchell, Sergeant Karen Hodge, Constable Andy Pattenden, Stephanie Mackenzie-Smith, Mike Bastin, Billy Courtice and Brad Featherstone.

Chief Eric Jolliffe and Detective Andrew Quibell were presented with a certificate of recognition by Canadian Blood Services for exceeding the 2015 donation goal. 
Community Appreciation Award - City of Markham
Constable Amaree Watkis received the City of Markham Community Appreciation Award.  
Academic Excellence in the Police Leadership Program
Constable Mark Arbour received the Sergeant Bruce MacPhail Award for Academic Excellent in the Police Leadership Program from Dalhousie University.
Decoration of Bravery
Sergeant Chris Armstrong was awarded a Decoration of Bravery from Governor General David Johnston at a ceremony in Quebec. 
International Women Achievers Award for Community Development from the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA)
Constable Mina Rahravan received the International Women Achievers Award for Community Development from the Jamaican Canadian Association. 
Woman Hero Award - Diversity Category
Constable Mina Rahravan received the Woman Hero award for her exemplary service.

Constable Jon Carson received the 2016 Public Hero's Award.
Province of Ontario Victim Services Volunteer Service Award
Inspector Maria Ahrens received a five-year Volunteer Service award from the Province of Ontario, recognizing her time donated to Victim Services of York Region.
York Region District School Board Community Service Award
Constable Doug MacRae received the York Region District School Board Community Service Award. 
St. Johns Ambulance Priory Vote of Thanks Award
Detective Sergeant Mike Elliot received the award and was recognized for his coordination and leadership of a York regional Police leadership training program for St. Johns Ambulance staff. 
Civic Hero Award - City of Vaughan 
Constable Garry Vosburg received the Ward 1 Civic Hero Award.
Crime Stoppers Awards
Sergeant Trevor Hanko and Constable Peter Dunn received 4 awards on behalf of Crime Stoppers of York Region: Best Radio of the Week, Best Print of the Week, Greatest Amount of Property and Drugs Seized and Greatest Amount of arrests. 
Newmarket and Aurora Community Living Employment Award
Shane Robinson received an Employment Award from Newmarket and Aurora Community Living.
CACP and Motorola Award for Excellence in Emergency Preparedness
Staff Sergeant Andy Graham, Sergeant Doug Ritchie, Detective Trevor Brown, Constable Lisa Boon and Constable Jeremy Beatty all received the CACP and Motorola Award for Excellence in Emergency Prepardness.
The Canadian Bankers Association Law Enforcement Award
Inspector Mike Fleischaker, Detective Doug Cole, Detective Dave Noseworthy and Detective Sean Whittaker were all awarded the Canadian Bankers Association Law Enforcement Award. 
Rob Plunkett Torch Run Award
Constable Melanie Moffatt and Karen Richards received the Rob Plunkett Torch Run Award. 
St. John's Ambulance Award
Constable Taylor Hankins received a St. John's Ambulance Award.
2016 York Regional Police Service Board Volunteer of the Year Award
Auxiliary Unit Superintendent Lynn Symons received the 2016 Volunteer of the Year award from the York Regional Police Service Board.
