Constables Sa Jiang, Ali Lalani, Amaree Watkiss and Mason Zhou were honoured with a 2015 Human Rights Race Relations Gold Medal Award for their outstanding contributions to humanities and public service to the community.  The award recognizes those who have made significant long-term contributions to the ethnic press and ethnic communities.

On Friday, September 18, 2015, Chief Eric Jolliffe received the prestigious Officer of the Order of Merit from His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada. The Officer of the Order of Merit recognizes outstanding meritorious service in duties of responsibility over an extended period, usually at the regional or provincial level.

An outstanding year for United Way donations paved the way for a recognition ceremony on January 22. York Regional Police, in partnership with the Region of York, received the Leadership Giving Spirit Award, the Community Spirit Award and the Campaign Spirit Award. The 2014 campaign raised $445,000 for roughly 30 United Way agencies across York Region, including Victim Services of York Region, Yellow Brick House, York Region Food Network and 360° Kids.

 Recognized Detective Melanie Moffatt as a new Torch Run organizer
 St. John Ambulance Life-saving Award
Awarded to Sergeant Brett Kemp, Constables Josip Sosic and Don Yirenkyi and civilian Daniela Defeo for assisting in the life-saving actions to revive an person without vital signs. And to Constable Matthew Goold for successfully administering CPR and saving the life of an 18-month-old child who was having difficulty breathing.
 Intercultural Dialogue Institute GTA - Public Heroes
Constable Mina Rahravan was recognized for her outstanding service with exemplary accomplishments in alutrism, dedication and community involvement. And to Constable Dovelin Hawthorne for his dedication to community partnerships

Call Taker of the Year - Danielle Migueis for her work ethic and dedication
Dispatcher of the Year - Leigh Bonnis for her professionalism and dedication
Outstanding Performance of a Platoon - C Platoon for collectively embodying the Values of York Regional Police
Outstanding Achievement in the Communications Centre - Allison Titleman for her continued dedication and ongoing support and Sherry Warren, for her innovative approach and outside the box thinking
 The Harry Jerome Social Engagement Award
Presented to Deputy Chief André Crawford for promoting the social environment and cultural development with a significant impact on the community
 The Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity Award for Service
Awarded to Chief Eric Jolliffe, on behalf of YRP, for an immense effort to engage with diverse communties across York Region
Character Community Foundation of York Region - Character Through the Arts Award
Given to the YRP Youth Band for their willingness, heart, commitment and integrity through volunteering their time and talents to events across the region

Presented to Sergeant Karen Hodge for her unwavering commitment to the fight against impaired driving
Community Service Award - York Region Secondary School Vice-Principals' Association
Awarded to Constables Lisa Conlan, Jessica Elliott, Patricia Drummond and Jennifer Meacham in appreciation of the work they do with the students
