What to expect:

Meet members from the Uniform Recruiting Unit and female officers from across the organization and learn what it takes to become a member of York Regional Police. Attendees can expect:

  • Tips on avoiding common application mistakes and how to become a competitive applicant
  • Tour our brand new, state-of-the-art training facility
  • Participate in mock interviews 
  • Listen to female officers' stories on how policing changed their lives
  • Find out why this is your time to join York Regional Police
  • Lunch and refreshments are provided

When and where:

The Women's Symposium will be hosted Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration

Registration for the Women's Symposium opens April 8, 2019. To register, please visit the event listing on our online calendar. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.  

A $5, non-refundable donation to Sandgate Women's Shelter is required upon registration.
