We’re Hiring — Put People First in Policing

York Regional Police (YRP) is looking for the next generation of police constables. Keeping our communities safe takes a diverse team with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, skills and perspectives, all working toward a common goal.

Join us for this female-only boxing event followed by an open conversation about careers in policing with Constable Emma Gomes.

This is a great opportunity to speak one-on-one with officers from the York Regional Police Outreach team, ask questions and connect with others who share an interest in a career in policing.

Gloves On: Women in Motion includes a one-hour boxing class beginning at 9 a.m. at 161 Boxing. After the session, participants are invited to stay for a one-hour social to hear officers share their experiences in policing, get tips on the application process and learn more about opportunities with York Regional Police.

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time to complete and sign a required liability waiver form before the session begins.

Please bring indoor shoes, appropriate clothing and a water bottle.
