Luminary Run and Candlelight Vigil
York Regional Police is hosting our 12th annual Luminary Run and Candlelight Vigil to honour fallen police officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
This FREE, five-kilometer run is open to members of the community. Runners will meet at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. start. Full details will be emailed to participants a week prior to the event.
If you don't want to participate in the run, citizens are invited to attend anywhere along the route to show your support.
You can also attend the Garrett Styles Park at 176 Laurendale Ave, Keswick for the vigil at 8:00 p.m.
Online registration for the Luminary Run is now open on Eventbrite.
Before registering, please review the attached waiver. Waivers must be sent to rsvpevents@yrp.ca prior to event.
Pets will not be allowed to participate in the run.
Citizens are also invited to purchase a luminary, with a personalized message, for only $5.
