Youth Crime Prevention Academy - November 11, 18, 25 and December 5, 2026

This academy will take place virtually over three weekly sessions in November, plus an in person session in December. You will receive practical and relevant information to protect yourself and your property, as well as aid in making good decisions. Topics covered will include - Youth Gambling, K9/Emergency Response Unit, Mental Health and YRP opportunities - Auxiliary, Volunteer and YIPI. 

Virtual sessions will be on Wednesday, November 11, 18 and 25 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

In person session will be Saturday, December 5 from 9:00am to 2:30pm - if you are unable to attend the in person portion of the Academy please contact ycpa@yrp.ca and alternate arrangements will be made. 

Registration for this Youth Crime Prevention Academy is open to youth aged 13 to 17 years old, who reside and attend school in York Region. 

All participants MUST complete the three virtual Academy sessions and attend the in person session on December 5 in order to receive a certificate of completion and be awarded 20 volunteer hours. 

Lunch will be provided during the in person session on December 5.
