Technical Data Recovery Unit

The five-member investigative team assigned to the Technical Data Recovery Unit conduct forensic examinations of computers and computer-related devices seized in incidents involving the Internet, email, corporate networks and other inter-connected computers.

Members of the Technical Data Recovery Unit completed extensive cell phone training and put their increased knowledge to good use examining the growing number of cell phones and PDA devices seized during investigations. Communities in York Region continue to benefit from their skill at cyber bullying and Internet safety presentations at local schools through training provided to our business community.
