Posted on Friday June 13, 2025

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged two males in connection with a jewelry store robbery in the City of Richmond Hill and a home invasion in the City of Markham. Two suspects remain outstanding.

On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at a mall in the area of Yonge Street and Carrville Road. Three suspects had entered a jewellery store, discharged an aerosol irritant at employees and smashed display cases before fleeing with a quantity of jewelry. They left the scene in a white sedan driven by a fourth suspect.

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, with assistance from the York Regional Police Air Support, Emergency Response and Canine Units, two suspects were arrested without incident. The two remaining suspects involved in the jewellery store robbery have not yet been identified, and no suspect descriptions are currently available. Video here: https://youtu.be/yWBSEQ30JyU
