Appeal for Witnesses after Financial Robbery in Newmarket

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking one suspect and are appealing for witnesses following a financial robbery in the Town of Newmarket.

On Thursday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery in the area of Davis Drive and George Street. One suspect entered the store, pointed a firearm at an employee and made a demand for money.

The suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining any currency and fled the scene eastbound on Davis Drive.

There were no injuries. 

Suspect:

  • Male
  • White
  • Approximately 22-years-old
  • 5’11
  • Thin build
  • Blue eyes
  • Wearing a black mask, black t-shit, black pants and white shoes
