Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious motor vehicle collision in the Town of East Gwillimbury.
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Ravenshoe Road. One vehicle, a silver sedan, had left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. The male driver of the sedan sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma centre in the City of Toronto.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward.
