Male for Identification in Markham Sexual Assault

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying a male suspect following a sexual assault in the City of Markham.

On August 4, 2025, the victim was walking south on Kennedy Road, towards Denison Street, when she was approached by an unknown male. The suspect engaged in conversation with the victim and proceeded to touch her in a sexual manner. The suspect followed the victim to a nearby shopping centre and waited in the area for her to finish shopping. The suspect again engaged her in conversation, touched her for a sexual purpose and continued to follow her north on Kennedy Road.

Police urge anyone who may recognize or have information regarding this individual to contact them immediately.

Suspect:

  • Male
  • 5’6” tall
  • 150 Lbs
  • Thick beard
  • Long black hair in a ponytail
  • Last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and work boots.
