Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect who committed an indecent act in the Town of Newmarket.
On Friday June 6, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., two youths were playing in the forested area of Ken Sturgeon Park, in the area of Lockwood Circle and Damascus Court when they were confronted by a male suspect with his pants down committing an indecent act. The youths left the area and reported the incident to police.
The suspect is described as male, west Asian, 25 to 30 years-old, with a slim build and dark hair. He was seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts.
Anyone who was in the park at the time and witnessed the incident or has any information is urged to come forward.
