Investigators with the York Regional Police Firearms Investigations Team have charged a man with Attempted Murder after shots were fired between two vehicles in the City of Markham.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to a weapons call in the area of Pringle Avenue and Wootten Way. Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like gunshots and two vehicles accelerating at a high rate of speed. Officers located shell casings in the roadway.
Surveillance video from the area confirmed a firearm was discharged from one vehicle toward another. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Through investigation, the suspect was identified charged on October 7, 2025.

- Ralph Richard TRILOKIE, 51, of Markham

The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who have may video surveillance or dash cam footage from the areas at the time of the shooting to please come forward.
