Shots Fired at Markham Home

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after another residence was the target of a shooting in the City of Markham.

On Friday, June 6, 2025, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to a home in the area of 16th Avenue and William Berczy Boulevard for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, multiple shell casings were located. Visible damage had been caused to both the garage and a glass sliding door.

Five people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

A previous shooting occurred at a neighbouring house on May 31, 2025.

The suspect vehicle is a black sport utility vehicle.

Investigators are seeking any additional video surveillance from the area or any dashcam video on the roadways at that time. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to please come forward.
