SUSPECT(S) SOUGHT AFTER SHOTS FIRED AT HOME IN MARKHAM

For the third time in a month, a City of Markham home has been the target of gunshots from unknown suspect(s) and investigators from the #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses to assist in the investigation.

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1:10 p.m., police responded to a residence on Solace Road for the sounds of gunshots. When they arrived, they found a home had been struck by multiple bullets. There were no injuries.

Two similar incidents occurred at the same residence on February 28, 2024 and March 8, 2024. In each incident, different suspect vehicles and suspect descriptions were reported.

In this incident, video surveillance shows a light grey SUV park on a nearby street after circling the area. A suspect approached on foot and discharged a firearm from the road. The suspect returned to the vehicle and left the area.

Suspect description:
Male, brown, 5’9’ to 6’1”, wearing a black, soccer-style warm-up suit with white writing on the left arm and leg and a thick white stripe on the right arm and leg, black running shoes, a black hat and a black face mask.

Suspect vehicle:
Light grey or metallic blue Nissan Rogue, dark-tinted windows, silver-spoked rims.

Investigators are looking for any video from the area that has not already been provided and any witnesses that have not already spoken to police to come forward. Forensic evidence has been recovered from the scene that may assist in identifying of any involved parties.
