WITNESSES SOUGHT AFTER SHOTS FIRED IN RICHMOND HILL

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses and suspects after a shooting incident at a residence in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 3:20 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on Eagle Peak Drive, in the area of Gamble Road east of Bathurst Street, for a report of sounds of gunshots.  When officers arrived at the scene, they located shell casings on the roadway and learned that the residence is a short-term rental and a party was being held there. Several occupants were investigated but officers did not locate anyone with injuries nor anyone believed to be a suspect.

Investigators continue to appeal for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward, as well as anyone with residential video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area at the time.
