CHARGES LAID IN CONNECTION WITH HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN GEORGINA

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged a 67-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman from Georgina with First Degree Murder in connection with a stabbing in the Town of Georgina.

On Friday, September 10, 2021, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers received a call to attend the area of Crydermans Side Road and Highway 48 for a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from stab wound injuries. The 51-year-old victim was identified as Steve KLOOSTERMAN of Georgina. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The two suspects were arrested at the time of the incident and have been charged with First Degree Murder. There are no other suspects being sought.

  • Casandra CAMPBELL, 34, of Georgina
