CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING WEAPONS CALL IN GEORGINA

Investigators with the York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 25-year-old male and a 15-year-old male youth in connection with a shooting incident following a dispute in the Town of Georgina.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Riverglen Drive and Oakmeadow Boulevard. Officers received information that two males were involved in a dispute that escalated to the victim being shot in the leg.

The 19-year-old male victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The two suspects are known to the victim.

  • Kenny FRANCOEUR, 25, of Georgina

  • 15-year-old male, of Georgina

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault With A Weapon
  • Possession Of A Weapon x2
  • Point Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession Of Firearm
