Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid charges against three people after an investigation into a commercial break and enter in the City of Vaughan.

On Friday, April 5, 2024, police attended an electronics store in a commercial plaza in the area of Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive West for a report of a break and enter. Security video showed two males exiting a vehicle that pulled up to the business at 3:15 a.m.

The suspects caused significant damage to the entrance to gain entry and fled with a large quantity of electronics.

Investigators identified a storage unit in the area of Caledonia Road and Bridgeland Avenue in Toronto that was being used to store the stolen property.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, investigators arrested two men after they accessed the storage unit. During the arrest, a loaded firearm was located on one of the men.

Investigators executed six search warrants, resulting in the recovery of a large amount of stolen electronics worth $40,000 including laptops, cellular phones and tablets. A female was also identified during the course of the investigation and is also charged.
