Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau would like to thank the public and the media for their help in identifying three additional suspects in connection with a shooting in the City of Markham.
On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to the sounds of gunshots in a plaza parking lot near Kirkham Drive and New Delhi Drive. They located a male suffering from a gunshot injury. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On April 25, 2024, one suspect was charged in relation to the shooting.
Charged: - Roshvin CROFTON, 22, of Ajax

- Robbery with a Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Motor Vehicle Theft
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

As a result of tips from the public, three additional suspects have been identified and charged.
Charged: - Piraveine KANAGALINGAM, 22, of Toronto
- Thivyan SUTHENTHIRAN, 21, of Toronto
- Assvin UTHAYAKUMAR, 23, of Toronto
