Suspects Sought in Staged Carjacking in Markham

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are appealing for witnesses and seeking suspects following a staged carjacking which occurred in the City of Markham.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., at Highway 407 and Warden Avenue, the victim had his Black Rolls Royce forcefully taken from him by suspects. 

The suspects vehicle, a white sedan, hit the victim’s vehicle from behind. When the victim exited the vehicle to assess damage, he was assaulted by two suspects. The two suspects fled the scene in the victim’s Rolls Royce, with a third suspect following in the white sedan.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Three suspects are described as male. No further description is available at this time.
