Male Suspect for Identification Following a Sexual Assault in Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following the sexual assault of a minor in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., the victim was walking on the south side of a school property, toward the main building, in the area of New Westminster Drive and Steeles Avenue. The victim approached the school doors and noticed an unknown male standing by the same set of doors. As the victim walked by the male, he touched the victim in a sexual manner.

The incident was reported to school staff immediately, who confronted the male outside as he appeared to be loitering. When confronted, the male fled toward Steeles Avenue.

The victim was not physically injured.

Suspect:

  • Male
  • White
  • 18 to 22-years-old
  • Approximately 6’, with a medium build
  • Last seen wearing a navy hoodie, a black jacket, black pants, bright orange shoes and glasses. 

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
