Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigations Unit are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was fatally struck in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 4:07 a.m., officers responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a dump truck in the area of Bloomington and Kennedy roads.
The pedestrian, a 64-year-old male from the Town of Georgina, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The dump truck remained on scene. The driver did not sustain any physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who has information, or who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision.
