Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged two suspects in connection with a series of targeted home invasion robberies in the City of Markham.
On May 30, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion at a condominium building near Verdale Crossing and Birchmount Road. As the victim, a sex trade worker, exited their unit, a suspect forced his way inside, assaulted the victim, and demanded cash. The suspect then fled in a blue sedan driven by a second suspect.
On June 27, 2025, the same suspects were involved in two additional home invasions at condominiums in the area of Highway 7 East and Roddick Road. In both cases, the suspects are believed to have specifically targeted individuals working in the sex trade.
Investigators have also linked one of the suspects to an earlier robbery that occurred in Barrie on May 6, 2025.
Through the course of the investigation, officers identified two suspects. Search warrants were executed at a residence in Toronto, where stolen property was recovered.
York Regional Police is releasing images of the suspects, as investigators believe they may be responsible for additional incidents and are urging any other victims come forward.
