York Regional Police is proud to sponsor the 32 MP Army Cadet Corps, a group of volunteers dedicated to mentoring and safeguarding our youth. By engaging and working with youth, we can build positive relationships, establish trust and open lines of communication. 

The cadets program is designed for youth aged 12 to 18. It offers youth the opportunity to participate in rewarding activities, including expeditions, music, sports, leadership and citizenship-building exercises and much more.

The cadets corps are looking for volunteers to participate in the following sub-committees and specialist positions:


Sub-committees include:

  • Fundraising and grants
  • Tagging management
  • Recruiting cadets/parents
  • Public relations/advertising
  • Parent volunteers co-ordinator
  • Technical support and web design
  • Trips and events
  • Canteen
  • Kit shop
  • Memorials
  • Awards and scholarships
  • History

Specialist positions

Specialist opportunities include:

  • Biathlon coach
  • Marksmanship coach
  • NCM training
  • Drill team coach
  • MP field training
  • Public speaking/effective presentations
