Update – Third Suspect Arrested in Vaughan Double Homicide
The third suspect wanted in the double homicide in the City of Vaughan has been arrested.
On May 13, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers attended a residence in the area of Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive after receiving reports that shots had been fired. When officers arrived, two males were located outside of the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both males succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
While police were on scene, additional officers were dispatched to the area of Huntington Road and Kirby Road after receiving reports that a blue sport utility vehicle (SUV) had been abandoned and set on fire. Investigators have confirmed the SUV was used by the suspects leading up to and following the shooting. The vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Toronto.
Investigative efforts led to the identification of three men who were believed to have been occupants in the same SUV.
On May 28, 2026, two men were charged in relation to the homicide.
On June 4, 2026, the third suspect, Gerard MURRAY, 48, of the City of Windsor, was arrested in Windsor.
He is charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder and Arson Causing Property Damage.
The investigation remains ongoing.
