Verified Alarm Response Program
What is the Verified Alarm Response Program
The Verified Alarm Response Program requires alarm calls to be confirmed before police are dispatched. Alarm monitoring companies must verify that there are signs of a real incident, such as audio, video or multiple alarm activations, before requesting police. This approach reduces false alarms and ensures officers are available for confirmed emergencies.
How It Works
Alarm is triggered
An alarm is activated at your home or business.
Alarm is reviewed
Your monitoring company receives the signal and begins the verification process.
Alarm is verified
The monitoring company attempts to confirm signs of a real incident using available information such as audio, video or multiple alarm activations.
Police are requested
If the alarm is verified, your monitoring company will request police dispatch. If it is not verified, police are not dispatched.
