You can report many non-emergency incidents online. Select the type of report below to start the process.
If the incident is happening now or someone is in danger, call 911.
Emergency or crime in progress?
Call 9-1-1 immediately if:
- Someone is injured or in danger
- A crime is happening right now
- A suspect is still at the scene

Report theft
Theft
Report stolen property when the suspect is unknown and the value of the property is under $10,000. Examples include stolen packages, bicycles, tools or personal belongings.
Theft from a vehicle
Report items stolen from inside a personal or business vehicle. Use this option if your vehicle was entered without permission and property was taken.
Identity theft or fraud
Report unauthorized use of your personal or financial information. Use this option if your identity or accounts were used without permission while you still have your documents.
Report retail theft
LCBO Theft
Report theft incidents from an LCBO retail location. This option is only available to authorized employees participating in the reporting program.
Gas drive off
Report incidents involving fuel theft from a gas station, including vehicles leaving without paying.
Report damage or vandalism
Damage/mischief to a vehicle
Report damage or vandalism to a vehicle that was not caused by a collision. This includes scratching, denting, broken windows or lights, and slashed tires.
Damage/mischief to property
Report damage or vandalism to public or private property. This includes graffiti, broken windows, damaged mailboxes, or defacing buildings, fences or structures.
Community reporting
Road Watch (aggressive driving)
Report dangerous or aggressive driving behaviour observed on York Region roads.
Community concern
Report ongoing issues or suspicious activity affecting your neighbourhood. This includes non-urgent concerns related to public safety or quality of life in your area.
Other reports
Motor vehicle collision
Report a motor vehicle collision online if it meets eligibility requirements. An incident number must be obtained before starting your report.
Lost property
Report property that has been lost or misplaced in York Region. This helps support efforts to locate and return items to their rightful owner.
Report a sexual assault
Submit a report of a sexual assault to York Regional Police. Reports are reviewed by specialized investigators and handled with care and sensitivity.
