Appeal for Witnesses After Serious Collision in Markham
Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving a motorcycle in the City of Markham.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a transport truck in the area of Woodbine Avenue and John Street.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old male from Markham, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck did not remain at the scene. The truck has since been located by police.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who has information, or who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision.
