Si Dung Lieu was shot several times outside a busy Markham restaurant just before 10 p.m. on September 1, 2006. He died just minutes later.
The 39-year-old Toronto resident was killed outside the Taste of Taiwan restaurant at the Metro Square plaza, located at 3636 Steeles Ave. His killer, described as an Asian male in his 20s, roughly 5'2" tall and wearing a long-sleeved, dark-coloured top and blue jeans, fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
