Suspect Charged in Extortion Investigation

Investigators with the York Regional Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, in partnership with the South Simcoe Police Service, have charged a suspect in relation to an extortion investigation in the City of Vaughan.

In December 2025, police began an investigation into a suspect responsible for extortions in the City of Vaughan. Since 2018, the suspect provided the victim with private loans, charging exaggerated interest. The suspect used threats and violence to intimidate the victim in order to collect payment.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Aurora. The suspect was arrested and investigators seized more than $10,000 in Canadian currency and seven luxury watches worth over $170,000.

Investigators are releasing a photo of the suspect as they believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging them to come forward.

  • Adam SIRIZZOTTI, 34, of the Town of Aurora

  • Extortion
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
