Multiple Suspects Sought Following Richmond Hill Home Invasion

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are appealing for witnesses and seeking multiple suspects following a home invasion in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, just before 4:30 a.m., three suspects forced their way into a residence, in the area of Hyde Park Drive and Red Oak Drive, by smashing a front window. It is believed at least one of the suspects was carrying a metal object.

Once inside, the suspects were confronted by the homeowner, who was then assaulted.

No demands were made by the suspects during the confrontation. They fled the residence and were last seen getting into a black sport utility vehicle, driven by a fourth suspect.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Male, Black. Last seen wearing a black hoodie, a black mask and was armed with a metal object.

Suspect #2: Male, Black. Last seen wearing a white or grey hoodie.

No suspect description was obtained for the third and fourth suspect.
