Child with Special Needs Assaulted by Occupation Therapy Assistant

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged an occupational therapy assistant in connection with the assault of a child with special needs in the City of Vaughan.

On February 24, 2026, investigators were contacted by the complainant, who reported their child with special needs had been assaulted by their occupational therapy assistant. The suspect attended the victim’s home in Vaughan for a therapy session and, during the session, the suspect assaulted the victim.

On Friday, February 27, 2026, the suspect was arrested and charged.

The suspect works with multiple clients and investigators believe there may be additional victims. The suspect’s photo has been released to encourage others to come forward.

  • Roza HOSSEINI, 36, of the Town of Richmond Hill

Charges:

  • Assault

 

The investigation is ongoing.
