Aurora Man Charged with Sexual Assault

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit are appealing for additional victims and witnesses after an Aurora man was charged in connection with sexual assaults in the Town of Aurora.

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., the suspect was in the area of Yonge Street and Wellington Street. The suspect approached three separate victims, who were unknown to him, and touched them for a sexual purpose.

Officers attended the area and the suspect was arrested a short distance away.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims. The suspect’s photograph has been released to encourage anyone with information to come forward.

Due to the location and time of day, investigators believe there may be additional witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
