The Cold Cases of York Region: Luke Marson

On the night of May 6, 2002, 21-year-old Luke Marson was pursuing his greatest passion, recording rap music at a home studio near Yonge Street and Mulock Drive in Newmarket.

By the next morning, he was dead. His body was discovered at just after 7 a.m. on May 7, 2002, by a homeowner on Forfardale Road, a dead-end street in an upscale Whitchurch-Stouffville neighbourhood.

Luke had been shot to death. Residents on Forfardale Road reported seeing a dark-coloured Volkswagen Jetta in the area with no licence plates. The vehicle was never identified.
