Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Islington Road and Napa Valley Avenue.

A 19-year-old woman was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing. Investigators believe several witnesses were in the area at the time of the incident and are asking them to come forward.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, as well as anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision, to contact investigators.
