Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a suspect in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in the City of Vaughan.

The investigation began in February 2026, after officers became aware of an individual believed to be involved in the trafficking of controlled substances in Vaughan and the surrounding areas. Over several months, investigators identified a suspect and gathered evidence related to the distribution of controlled substances.

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, investigators executed search warrants at a residence and a storage locker in Vaughan. As a result of the investigation, officers seized a quantity of substances with an approximate street value of more than $300,000, as well as a large quantity of Canadian currency.

Charged:

  • Wesam MOSHI, 37, of Vaughan

Charges:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2
  • Trafficking Schedule I substance
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000

At the time of the offence, the suspect was on a release order for an unrelated incident.

This investigation is ongoing.
