Suspect for Identification in Commercial Break and Enter

Investigators with York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect following a commercial break and enter in the Town of East Gwillimbury.

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m., an unknown male suspect arrived on an electric bicycle and broke into a business in the area of Leslie Street and Farr Avenue. The suspect then attempted to enter several other businesses in the same plaza.

The suspect was last seen northbound on Leslie Street from Farr Avenue.

The suspect is described a male, approximately 5’7” to 6’, with a medium build and was last seen wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater, blue jeans, white running shoes, and a black satchel. The suspect was operating a distinctive high-necked electric bicycle.

The investigation is ongoing.
