Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged three men following a drug investigation in the Town of Newmarket. 

The investigation began in early September 2026 after information was received that an individual was trafficking controlled substances in the Newmarket area. 

On September 12, 2026, a search warrant was executed at a Newmarket residence. Investigators seized a high-powered, semi-automatic rifle, two loaded magazines, Canadian currency and a quantity of a controlled substance believed to be cocaine, with an approximate street value of $25,000.

Three men from Newmarket have been charged. 

Charged:

  • Antonio ADAMO, 34, of Newmarket
  • Robertino ADAMO, 59, of Newmarket
  • Julian ADAMO, 26, of Newmarket

Charges:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substances (Antonio only)
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime (Antonio only)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition
