Security Camera Registry
Register your cameras
Provide your camera details to help support police investigations in your community.
About the program
The Security Camera Registry allows residents and businesses to inform York Regional Police that they have security cameras that may assist during an investigation.
When a crime occurs, officers may canvass an area for video footage. The registry helps police identify where cameras are located and contact owners more quickly.
Registering your cameras does not give police direct access to your system or footage. Police must still request permission to view or obtain recordings.
Who is this for?
