About the camps

Summer camps at the Community Safety Village provide a fun environment where students learn how healthy lifestyle choices can have a positive impact on their lives—both today and in the future.

Camps include interactive workshops, games, and sports activities facilitated by York Regional Police members.

What campers will learn

Camp programming introduces students to key safety topics and real-world skills through engaging activities and presentations.

Topics include:

  • Police, fire, and paramedic roles in the community 
  • Bicycle and road safety 
  • Internet safety and healthy lifestyle habits 
  • Emergency preparation

Emergency Services Camp

Campers learn about emergency responders and their role in the community through safety activities, games, and presentations.

Two sessions:
Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6

Empower Youth Camp

Campers develop leadership skills while learning to value people, explore their interests, and understand the impact of peer pressure and social media.

Grades 4-5, Grades 6-7
