Appeal for Witnesses Following an Assault on a Youth in Vaughan
Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking to identify a suspect and are appealing for witnesses following an assault in the City of Vaughan.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, just before 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Tami Court and Bathurst Street. While walking on a forested pathway which connects Lady Nadia Drive and Rivermill Crescent, a youth was assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound in the area of Lady Nadia Drive.
The victim was not physically injured.
The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old male. He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, a grey and blue jacket, running shoes and a black medical mask.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have surveillance or dashcam video around the area at the time of the incident to please contact police.
